I have recently finished the book Wild at Heart, and have just started to read Waking the Dead, These books have drastically changed my views and opened my eyes to what is really going on behind my struggles. There are bigger issues than just my struggles. I have always known that sin is never the issue in salvation, and even though my struggles were sins against God, that was not the real issue. I am gathering my thoughts on what I have been learning in the last few months and will post more details later in the week. I am so excited to have found this place to be able to express my thoughts and grow with fellow believers that have some of the same struggles.

I really enjoyed both books. Waking the Dead in particular helped me a lot in recoveyr from sexual addiction because it dealt a death-blow to the shame that has plagued me for years! I am still tempted by it, but now I am convinced that my heart is good!
I'm glad you found us too!

So far I have read Wild at Heart, the sequel Way of the Wild Heart (now called Fathered by God), and Waking the Dead, and have participated a bit in RH's online ministry.
Wild at Heart woke me up from a terrible dream. I honestly felt I was not a man, doomed to be a boy with no masculinity or "guts" whatsoever, that I was a wimp. But in the book I love how he described EVERY man as a WARRIOR in the image of the ULTIMATE WARRIOR. This is so true. It wasnt long after I read this book that an opportunity came up for me to go work in the oil patch (How manly is that? lol), and my life began to change.
My heart is good, as well. All our hearts are made good by Jesus!
