I'm wondering if anyone knows what SOCKS 1080 is. I found this had been accessed on my computer after my husband was using it. I think it's a "proxy server" whatever that means. I looked around the internet and it looks like proxy servers are used to get around filters. Thing is, we don't have any filters on our computer so I can't figure out why this would be showing as accessed on our computer? Could a proxy server also be used to hide internet activity from your computer files? I can't get enough info on the internet about why our virus program would have picked up a hit for SOCKS 1080. Any ideas?

Also the virus protector on my computer showed a hit for Google (Backdoor). What does that mean? I have started to leave my husband alone on the computer with no monitoring system set up and then I see these things like SOCKS 1080 and Google Backdoor and I've never seen them before so I'm starting to get suspicious.

Hi Denise,
Near where it says that you are "logged in as Denise11," it should say "you have X new messages." That link takes you to your inbox, as well as a link to compose. You can also send a message by clicking on any other user's name, which will bring up a list of links such as "view profile" and "send a private message."

Hi...with all the internet filters listed in this section, I'm wondering if anyone could tell me if they work with a corporate owned laptop. The person who has the laptop does not have adminstrator rights as the laptop is owned by a large financial institution. The laptop is suppose to be used for work purposes only, however, getting onto the internet is very easy, accessing YouTube and all the porn is easy as well as other porn sites. Spectorsoft will not download on the laptop because the person does not have adminstrator rights. Wondering if Webwatcherkids would work.....thanks........Laura
