I just wanted to say hello to all here. It is great to know that the battle within us is not unique to just us, and that God has brought us together to facilitate healing from within. I have been involved in different ministries involving men and sexual addiction. I to have been in the pits of hell in my addiction. Thanks to Gods grace I have been delivered from this pit. Yet the battle is daily. I must stay alert at all times. I met Mike through my pastor when I asked the church how I could take what I have learned from my own battle and help men in the church overcome their issues. They directed me to Mike and here I am. I put myself where I was and am now, but God can always make good out of bad if we just let him. The key to my healing is in the heart of it all. Not the organ, but the true meaning of Heart, meaning the center, the core. Filling my void inside me with the love of Christ was the key to my freedom. For years I tried to fill this with other things, yet to be left feeling that same empty feeling as always. God, I knew of him. Yet I did not know him. I had no idea what scripture said. In one ear and out the other is what I experienced whenever I heard the word taught. Like my neighbor, I know they exist. I know of them, but I do not KNOW them. And if I never take the time to talk to them and spend alot of time with them, I will continue to not KNOW them. Through prayer and Meditation of Gods Word I began to KNOW God. And well, here I am today. Blessed to be part of His work. I look forward to sharing and growing with you all. God bless.

Steve, Thanks for the reply. I see myself right now being used to encourage other men struggling in sexual addiction and I have also been doing teaching from the Word to men and making it relevant to today. I have been leading a group of men for over the last 4 years. But not from the pulpit. Just a small tight group of us that get together weekly to learn the Word and apply it to our life. And I have some other ideas that I am praying about and too early to really mention yet. As far as with this ministry, I have shared some of my thoughts with Mike and right now I am just going to continue to attend his group on Monday nights and see where God takes me from there. I used to get all these big ideas and try to get them going, but it always seemed God kept those doors closed. So I have learned to step out in faith and just see what opens. Are you involved in the Monday night group? I see your from here. I live near Colorado Springs. God bless.

I'm the key of doing my "great ideas" in my own strenght, only to falter because God has something else planned. No, I'm not involved in Mike's Monday night group in Colorado Springs, although I've been "tinkering" with the idea of seeing what it's like. One of these weeks... And yep, I'm in Manitou Springs, but only for a couple more weeks. I'll be moving to Buena Vista, but I'll be in Colorado Springs on a weekly basis, as I have a counseling practice at I-25 & Woodmen. It's very good to meet you and keep that positive spirit going. I like your attitude!
