I've read this article before. It is good. It speaks volumes. I forwarded it to my H (again) today. Just got off the phone with him a little bit ago. He wants us to have a "normal" night. I asked him what he meant. He said, "You know what normal is." I asked for clarification. So his response was no conflict, no unpredictable emotions. Let's be "close".
He just doesn't get it. All's well and good for him. He wasn't the one betrayed.

Aren't unpredictable emotions by their very nature unpredictable? A completely illogical request!

Man, Not sure what your reply indicates. Futility in expecting my husband to not cheat on me? Just that it is impossible to change others, but I agree with what the others say here mostly.

"let's be close" sounds like "let's have sex."
Net bottom line: He's and addict and he needs a fix.
