So all of our timetables are NOT necessarily of God! As Jesus said in that passage, He Himself did not know. But the point He draws from it, as you say, is powerful: Be ready now!!!

My strength for this day.....
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

We are blessed in having both online church and online Bible study....so my cup feels very full right now!
"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls."
1 Peter 2:24-25 ESV
Returned to where I am safe and secure. This straying and lost sheep is healed, and I am in the keeping of my Shepherd and Overseer (NLT has "Guardian").

A long and tiring day... but I'm doing OK thanks to God!
Psalm 27:1-5 ESV
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall.
Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.
One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.
For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.

Today I must reject the works of the flesh and let the Holy Spirit produce in me what only HE can!
"When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
"But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!"
---Galatians 5:19-23 NLT

"My sheep listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me." -John 10:27 CEB
Course corrections. Day by day decisions small and great. As long as I stay on the path with Jesus, He's right beside me to guide me though it all.

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. (2 Cor. 5:15)
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (v. 17 of that chapter)
THEREFORE.... 1. I am no longer to live for myself. 2. I am to live for Christ who died and was raised for me. 3. I have become a new person! The old is gone, a new life has begun.

Sunday! These thoughts are based in part on the devotional in Mornings With Jesus....
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12)
I am to FOLLOW Him. 1. He warns me of danger. 2. He guides me in the way I should go, even when they way is murky and dangerous....leading me to the place of safety. 3. With the result that He leads me in the way of love, joy, and peace.
Praying for us all this AM... even those who never post any more. May we each, whatever our circumstance, find Jesus to be very real and close by, wherever we are in this battle.

Busy days, virus or no virus. Thank you Jesus!
You are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with joyful shouts of deliverance. Selah
I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with my eye on you, I will give counsel.
Psalm 32:7-8 CSB

In this great nation (I live in the USA), my one life, and whether or not I live according to God's Word. doesn't seem like much, but it is!!!!
In Genesis 18, Abraham has a long discussion with God about how many righteous people would there need to be in Sodom to keep God from destroying it. He finally got down to 10 and stopped asking. God didn't find 10, but He took his people out to safety first.
I believe God is looking for a (hopefully) massive group of Christians who will stand for truth in this hour.
I can also identify with Nehemiah in fighting distractions:
Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come and let us meet together at Hakkephirim in the plain of Ono.” But they intended to do me harm. And I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” And they sent to me four times in this way, and I answered them in the same manner. (Neh. 6:2-4 ESV)

Hey Saved! Yes for sure you and all your actions are very important in Heaven! There is joy in Heaven when any one of us makes a sacrificial choice for Jesus, forsaking the flesh and the world. I truly believe that like Gideon if we saw how much our actions matter and are watched and cheered on by the Holy angels we would be astonished! A Christian is never outnumbered! : )

Even though our church has not yet physically reopened, we are blessed, both with Sunday worship and also an online Bible study before church. Both of them spoke straight to my heart this AM.
So here is the problem. As I approach 3 weeks of victory, the time when I so often stumble and fall again, can I, will I, take one day at a time with Jesus, claim His promises, and walk in His peace and power by faith?
