Sadly I gave into a frame of mind of discouragement and anger and allowed myself to wallow in the mire of lust (p&m). Which only gave me more discouragement and anger towards myself. I seemed tied to this back and forth system like I first posted. So whats the answer? Of course first and foremost would be the question "am I really saved"? I have been down that road to many times to count. But according to the Word of God I am. If I look at myself I will always doubt and have but salvation is of the Lord not me. Not going down that road again. The Lord knows my heart. I am going with my ever so inconsistent nature. Inconsistent with memorizing scriptures. Inconsistent with prayer. Inconsistent with walking in the Spirit. Inconsistent with meditating on the Word and things of God. I have a lazy nature. I grew up in an undisciplined house and this follows me in my faith and everyday life. But I am aware of this so for this I am accountable. God is greater than all my issues and weaknesses. I am to seek His power and discipline in my life not my own. But no matter, I am responsible for my actions and mindset cause I am aware of them. I will give an account at the judgement as we all will.
The saddle is getting heavier but picking it up and throwing it back on that horse!! Again!

OK, my brother, you are back on that horse again! I prayed and asked God what to share with you, and this comes to my mind..... 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 Christian Standard Bible (CSB) 3 For although we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh, 4 since the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments 5 and every proud thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ. I like the words "demolition" and "demolish." These weapons are not toys, they are powerful. And as to what they are, I find them in the promises of Scripture. Peter specifically tells us that by these great and precious promises we can defeat the enemy..... 2 Peter 1:3-4 Christian Standard Bible (CSB) 3 His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 By these he has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desire.

I have no idea why some of the above went to blue, and bold type. Maybe God's way of emphasis!

"but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds."
"His divine power"
"His own glory and goodness"
I keep looking at what is wrong with me and not looking at what God has done and is doing for me to live to glorify Him.
Thanks for asking God and sharing! SBG

Psalm 107 - a little long to put here.
But in it we see people in various kinds of horrible situations crying out to God for help, desperately needed help.
And in each case, we see God's loving and merciful response.
And so God uses His powerful Word to bring us strength and healing.

Jake I just learned something. Not sure why it took me this long to learn it because it would have helped me with overcoming my sin addiction. Did you know that we are to constantly praise the Lord? If we praise the Lord when we are tempted, how much quicker the temptations will cease!
Hebrews 13 15 Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.
Psalm 34 1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

You guys are a blessing and encouragement! Thanks!

Feeling bored and a little lost today. On the alert for temptation to creep in. Getting busy. Going to make sure I exercise today. Trusting the Lord to direct my paths.
Psalm 37:5(KJV) 5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Thanks SBG! And I for you. I have been doing well so far. And I see you have been also. Let's lock and load and be ready. Cause we both know it's coming.
As I have heard it in military type movies we need to "watch those corners"!
