Let my imagination and lustful fantasies go which ended in "M". Can't let one thought go unchecked. Always leads to more thoughts unchecked. Then closer to the rabbit hole. Yes we must remain vigilant. Even with many years of being an overcomer, I still have to maintain my vigilance. You basically have to take a kill and destroy attitude toward wrong thoughts. Strangle them until dead with the Word and your love for Christ. You can do it. It takes practice to learn to be vigilant and to stay vigilant in this area.

"Idolatry" That strange word we tend to apply to certain objects that we tend to serve. Yet if we look at God's word, He gives us a different listing as you pointed out and I highlighted in red shows. As I look at the things I seem to chase after on a regular bases, I am struck by what I put first in my life. Self gratification is probably first in all things. And scripture along with God allways seem to be on the back burner.
I don't like it, even though I think about it all the time, my acts tell the truth. So I would have to say 1st Cor. 10:7 would fit me perfectly.

He makes some good points but I don't have the restraint for such things.

Yes, Matthew 5:28 is important to define!
The attire of a Christian lady should direct us to her face. Not that she's to be unattractive; just the opposite. Obviously we see all of her.
Many Christian young ladies are kind of naïve about that, and we have to just look the other way.

Jake. Jesus is always willing. Pray for willingness. Dear Jesus, please give Jake what he needs. Please help him Lord. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Hi Virgil. I know what you mean. I am careful how much I share with other brother. Even after 3 years in our church, I don't share too much. I figured I have shared a lot and they don't share back. Probably a sign. Still the Pastor and other brothers pray and encourage me. Another brother just rebukes me and doesn't talk at all with me. I know very well what you mean. Probably they can't trust us too.

Thanks Dominic for your support and prayers. Sadly I keep falling back into "P&M". I feel numb about it. I am asking the Lord to clear up this confusion in my head.

I remember shortly after being saved and struggling with many doubts cause satan was really harassing me badly..that a woman visited our church dressed very sexy. Yes she was in a dress but it rang all my bells. And I was only 20 and married for only a little over a year. Stupidly cause I thought since I threw away all my porn materials I was done with lust. It hit me like a brick! But that wasn't lust. But of course I have learned that I will always have that rush. The rush is part of my sexuality. How God created man. I just can't let my corrupted flesh take it into the sin of lust. And look the other way!!

Send the link to me in a private message. His take on it won't cause me to stumble if you are worried about that. Being Admin of this forum, I have gotten an eye full several times. The Lord is faithful to keep me from going back as long as I am faithful to run to Him.

Yes, when we are already weak, such things can lead us to stumble.

As I see others who are also struggling, and often failing, I am encouraged. But NOT to stay where we are. It lets me know I am not the one most horrible excuse for a Christian on the face of the earth, but together we must let Jesus lift us out of the pit, and walk in paths of righteousness far away from the pit.
Despite my many failures, I will continue the practice of taking a single Scripture to focus on each day. Taking it with me so I can pull it out and look at it.
Today's is James 4:7-8a, but especially the phrase, Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.
If I'm feeling that drift away from Him, which one us moved? ? ?
