The first thing that must be determined is this. Are you saved? Are you a born-again believer?
There are some very powerful things the Holy Dcriptures say in regards to sexual sins.
Here is some truth that needs to be said.
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. I Corinthians 6:9-11 NKJV
Do you believe that homosexuality is sin and leads to hell because the scriotures clearly say that the homosexuals and sodomites will not inherit the kingdom of God.
What is your answer?
Next, do you believe that Jesus is God in the flesh? The Bible says…
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:1-3, 14 NKJV
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” John 8:58 NKJV
Next, do you believe that Jesus has lived the only righteous life that God is pleased with and that we can't be saved by our own efforts?
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
Matthew 5:17 NKJV
And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. Matthew 3:14-15 NKJV
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV
Do you believe that Jesus Christ took all your sins with Him and was punished for our sins when He died in the cross for our sins? Do you believe Jesus physically rose from the dead?
Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
I Corinthians 15:1-4 NKJV
Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”
Luke 24:36-39 NKJV
Do you want to give up all your sins, take up your cross and follow Jesus as Lord and Savior?
Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.
Luke 9:23-26 NKJV
The Bible says….
He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
Proverbs 28:13 NKJV
Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord , And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:6-7 NKJV
If you are serious about becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ. Pray to God right now. Jesus said to Repent and Believe the Good News. (Mark 1:15)
God can bring life back into a dead man. God is here to save you.
God brings people back from the dead spiritually by making your spirit alive again. This is called born of the spirit and being born-again. John 3 has this explanation.
Come to Jesus and come to the light. Let God show you all your sins and confess it to Him. Do not hide it and stay in the darkness.
And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
John 3:19-21 NKJV
Can you see from the Word of God that all your sins are evil and that you have loved your evil ways?
Can you admit that you have practiced evil and hated the light?
The Bible says...
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
Romans 1:24-32 NKJV
Have you made a commitment to follow Jesus?
Do you want to?
This is the first and only step in recovery from sexual sins. For in this way, God is saving your soul, and shaking you into what God has planned for you. Any other way is not God's will and will only lead to self-effort, false gods, and ultimately in eternal torment in hell forever. See Luke 16.
Learn about God and His ways. Become one of His people. Submit to God.
Resist the Devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7 says.
Read the scriptures and obey what you read. Surrender and give up all your rights and become a servant to God. You will have to give an account to the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not be like those deceived in Matthew 7:21-23.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV
You are not your own. You were bought with a price so glory God with your body….the Bible says.
Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
I Corinthians 6:18-20 NKJV
