Saved, I didn't offer to be your partner because I thought you would prefer to have a male accountability partner. I am offering now. If you would rather have a male partner, I understand. Sounds like you are doing great. Keep leaning on Christ. Thanks, Amy, I appreciate that. Yes, I would be glad to have you! Dominique also responded. It's just the same as the encouragement we all give one another already, except that it doesn't let me gloss over a bad day. It is to be a reminder that people who care for me are watching. You'll receive an invitation from them to be an "ally" for me.

I got your invitation. It's been awhile since I have used covenant eyes. I still had my married name on it. Had to do some updating.
I already got the first report. Stay close to Christ and remember it's all about choices. Thankfully we have a forgiving savior that understands when we fall.

Thanks to you both!
Continuing as before, I need a challenge or promise from Scripture to take me through each day. This AM it was 2nd Tim. 1:7 --
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (KJV)

For today - Psalm 103. For special focus, verse 4, which is part of a longer sentence:
"who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy"
That is what Jesus is doing for me!

Resurrection Day! Christ is risen!
My Scripture: 1 Peter 2:9-12
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

“Come, let us return to the LORD; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him. Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” -Hosea 6:1-3 (ESV)
A beautiful foreshadowing of Messiah. And for both us and the original recipients: Our merciful Lord calling us home.

Saturday... a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
Psalm 107:17-22 ==
Some were fools through their sinful ways, and because of their iniquities suffered affliction; they loathed any kind of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! And let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and tell of his deeds in songs of joy!
(ESV translation)
Thanks to God for all He has done!!!

Amen. God hears when we cry to Him. May we not test the Lord but stay close to Jesus. Dear Jesus, please help us to stay close to you. In Jesus' name we pray Amen.

I'm getting emails from the Christian 12-step group, but so far, life has been too crazy for me to even open them. I hope that soon, life will be normal, whatever that is.
For today, I find a wonderful challenge in Col. 3:23 -- right after a list of things we are to avoid like the plague. This Scripture reminds me of what I am to be doing with all my heart in place of those things!
Col. 3:23 ESV: Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,

Another crazy yet good day.... God brought us through it!
Yesterday was the National Day of Prayer (USA). May I continue in the spirit of 2 Chronicles 7:14....
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Amen, that is a great promise from God's Word and reminder of what we ought to do when we are not right with the Lord. Not at a license to keep sinning as God has graciously taught me but as the goodness of the Lords leads us to repentance as Romans says it.

I've had a horrible cold all week, just going through the motions. Thanks to God for walking with me through it all! Our church has been between pastors, and as Baptists we choose our pastor. So Sunday was the vote on that, and we received our new pastor with an overwhelming majority. So I went so I could vote in spite of not being well. Romans 8:1-6 New Living Translation (NLT) 8 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. 3 The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. 4 He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit. 5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. 6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
