You are a Son of God. Never forget that.

John 14:16 Amplified Bible (AMP) 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever—
This shows why the translators of various versions can't agree on a single word -- the word is too rich with meaning!
Consider for example the words Comforter Strengthener, and Counselor. He is right here with me every moment of my day, to show me the way, and give me comfort and strength. EVERY moment. May I never forget it.

This AM God directed by thoughts to Psalm 25. A little long to paste here, but if you are a struggler, read it for yourself and ask God to speak it to your heart.
We begin by simply lifting up our soul to God, and putting our trust in Him.
Our enemies are always there, ready to "exult" over us. We pray, God, don't let them.
We learn to wait for God. NONE of those who wait for Him will be put to shame.
He is the God of my salvation!!! He wants to lead me in His truth and teach me.
Thanks to God, He is a God of mercy and steadfast love and forgiveness.
It is the humble who He will lead and teach. For those who keep His covenant, all His paths are steadfast love and faithfulness.
In vv 12-14 we find HUGE BLESSINGS FOR THOSE WHO FEAR HIM.
v 15: "My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for he will pluck my feet out of the net."
In vv 17-20 we are reminded this is no small battle. In our case, it's with Satan and all his hosts...…
"The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses. Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins. Consider how many are my foes, and with what violent hatred they hate me. Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me! Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you." (both quotes from ESV)
And then, once more (v21) we are reminded that we must learn to wait upon the Lord.

May I never forget it. I love the Amplified version for that very reason! It pulls out all the meanings of the original Hebrew and Greek. It is great for when you are struggling with understanding a passage.

Our enemies are spiritual, and our God is mighty over them.
Exodus 15:6-7 King James Version (KJV)
6 Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.
7 And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.

Good day in the house of the Lord. Praise songs remind me that GOD is the One who frees me from Satan's lies.
From Our Daily Bread....
Philippians 4:13 New International Version (NIV) I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Hw gives us His peace, helps us to trust, and empowers us to go the distance as we walk with Him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Going the distance, EVEN THAT I can do through Christ.

Monday!!!!
John 6:35 English Standard Version (ESV) Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.
He has the true bread; why would I look anywhere else?

Matthew 5:6 English Standard Version (ESV)
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Wen I give in to impure thoughts, I am chasing what does NOT satisfy. God, and God alone, satisfies the deepest needs of my heart.

Yes, that one meant a lot to me!
Today, in my regular (but slow) reading through the Bible, I came to Zechariah chapter 3. Wow, what a powerful message for us there!
(My reading plan keeps me on 3 different tracks, so I don't have to read through long Old Testament passages all at once. It's from Biblestudytools.com. It's taking me more than a year!)

Yes, Amen. In this battle, we need the encouragement of God's Word every day.
If I want peace and satisfaction in this day, Friday, I will find it only in Jesus. Wandering off the path will ONLY give me misery and woe. I know that. My only way to contentment this day is to stay on the path with Jesus.
"A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot." -Prov. 14:30 ESV
