hi everyone i'm jessica and alot of the forum posts have been really helpful for me. i've been struggling a lot with masturbating excessively and online sex chat and stuff but i've gotten back with an exbf who was super supportive in the past and i want to do better for him. i'm younger and a lot of people don't really take what i have to say seriously or even acknowledge what i'm feeling but it's very real esp with the fact that i have to take medication that effects how i feel a lot of the time but my parents have been pretty supportive too i was really hooked on the feeling of getting guys attention and seeing how they react when i see what i've done to them and stuff like that but i'm trying to do better with controlling it and venting helps a lot sometimes but it's not easy to talk to just anyone about it but anyways thanks and i just wanted to say hi  |

Hi cgmd. Welcome to BG. I am a female addict. Been sober 9+ years. My story is all over this site. Glad that you were courageous in posting about your own story. So many women struggle in this area but are ashamed to admit it because of the stigma attached to it.
What are you doing to help you get sober and maintain it? Do you have an accountability partner? Are you in counseling? Do you have blocking software on your electronics?
You can post anywhere on the forums. I would recommend starting an accountability thread and updating it often. It will help us with praying for you and supporting you.

i've actually gotten off most of social media completely and got rid of like a lot of apps except 1 that i need to talk to some of my family.
and yea i do have to see a doctor for stuff relating to all this but don't wana get too specific.

I am glad you are being proactive in maintaining your soberity. Be sure you are spending time in prayer and bible reading daily. It helps to keep your mind focused on the right things. Also when you are tempted, immediately run to Christ. He is your strength in this battle.

Please get help from a Pastor's wife and share with her. Get phone numbers from other women at your church and be accountable with them. Know that God hates our sin. Our sins will take us to hell. Repent and believe if your are not saved. Repent and believe if your are saved. Since you mentioned in your post thst you like attention from men, why not change your profile picture to one that is not showing your face. Other men might be triggered or misinterpret your intentions. Unless, you do not care about being a stumbling block for others.  It's just a suggestion. |
