Galatians 6:1-2 NLT
1 Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. 2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
And so really, God tells us to counsel one another! And certainly this "sharing" would also include praying for one another.

It's wonderful to have a risen Lord. He has conquered and through Him we can conquer our sins.

Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us. (1 Samuel 7:12)
Hitherto hath the LORD helped me! Thank you Jesus!

1 Cor. 10:12-13 (NLT) -
12 If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
God's promise to me!!!

Thoughts like "What if.........?" are typically not of God.
Thoughts like "I am with you; l will never leave you or forsake you." are of God.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe. (Proverbs 18:10 ESV)
One of my favorites, and I am reminded of it again today,
Yes!!! May I learn to stay there as long as I need to.

May I learn to stay there as long as I need to. I don't ever want to leave that tower. Not sure if that is what God wants but I get tired of battling.

Reminds me of Psalm 23 - Both in the restful times beside still waters, and while walking through the dark valley, he found God's presence and comfort. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

I MUST now walk as a child of the Light!
"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light"
-Ephesians 5:1-8

As I continue this walk, I am proclaiming the Gospel!
"For they themselves report concerning us the kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come." -1 Thess. 1:9-10 ESV

Psalm 31! It's been a while since I've read this. What a treasure of strength and encouragement any time we're having a bad day or a difficult time of things!
It's a little long to paste here, but I just want to give God a shout of praise for this precious part of His Word!

Continuing in the book, Victory in spiritual Warfare --- these won't be quotes, but more like applications to my own life.
Continuing the chess game analogy, God makes the final move, and Satan is checkmated forever. God comes to earth in the person of jesus Christ and bears the horrible penalty for my sin on the cross. Pure love for me. And God raised him from the dead in glorious victory. Symbolically in baptism, I was buried with him (since he identified with me in taking my sin), and then raised to walk in newness of life! Satan tries to use the only tool he has left - lying to me. Trying to get me to believe he still has power over me.
I must walk in the truth of God's Word!!!!

Deut. 1:6-8 (ESV)
6 "The LORD our God said to us in Horeb, 'You have stayed long enough at this mountain. 7 Turn and take your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites and to all their neighbors in the Arabah, in the hill country and in the lowland and in the Negeb and by the seacoast, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates. 8 See, I have set the land before you. Go in and take possession of the land that the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them and to their offspring after them.'
God's command is clear. I am to move on into new territory! He will be with me every step of the way!
