Good bye every one. I think I will stop using the internet completely. My family got internet at home last year. For a while I did not use it at all. but after a wile it was so convenient to use it for everything. But it is to easy to look at porn. I had previously had a problem with magazines and I had recently had victory over P for more than a year. By with internet it is way too accessible. I though that it would be worth is for this forum but the risk is greater than the benefit. I am reaching out to people I already know and can get the accountability and encouragement I need from phone calls and meeting in person.

Hi, Treborkcub. That's great that you can recognize these things and that you are willing to do what it takes to stay clear of P. Good for you! Have you ever tried using the program Qustodio to block P and adult-themed pages? They offer a free version online that works very well ---> www.qustodio.com/en/family/downloads/It works just on the device it is installed on, so you would be able to set boundaries for yourself on your laptop or your phone. "I am reaching out to people I already know and can get the accountability and encouragement I need from phone calls and meeting in person."
That is GREAT news- What wonderful blessings God has sent your way to help you fight this!! When my husband limited himself on how often/when/length of time he was able to use the internet (before he got another smartphone against my wishes), he stated & I witnessed that his P use was way easier for him to avoid. But when you don't deal with the root issues, of course the use comes back as soon as there is ease of access, so do what you gotta do to overcome this!

Hi treborkcub. I will miss you. But I understand. The internet is like a closet full of porn that's a mile long. It's important to insure that P is not in our homes and our lives. When I had no internet access, it had it's advantages. Simplified life and recovery. I still needed a support system though. Didn't find it at church. Had to get it from a 12 step meeting. I hope that your support system is sufficient.
Just remember that you are so loved by God and by all of us. Try to be good to yourself when moving forward. Bless you treborkcub.☺

That is great. We have gotten rid of internt and T.v. in our home. We do have a small, older tv we can pull out of the closet to watch dvds on (mostly for the kids). We got rid of our flat screens, and netflix. My husband also got rid of his smartphone. It so nice in our house with little to no screen time. The kids are more creative and we get more done. I find that we all talk more too.
