Hello,
My name is Thomas, that's the alias that I will go by here. I'm glad I decided to drop by. To be completely honest, I was on my way to check out some adult web sites, when I remembered that one of my guys in group had mentioned this site. I just wanted to say how glad I am that there is finally a bulletin board for support like this. I used to tell Doug Weiss he needed something like this on his site, but he said he never had the time for it.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello, and hopefully get to know some other addicts who are searching for the light.

Hey Thomas -
Welcome, and thanks for being honest. Posting on these forums is a lot healthier than hitting the porno sites !

Thanks, do you offer this site just as a good way to inform, or do you also offer counseling and therapy?

I'm not a licensed therapist. I do work with guys individually to help them get into the roots of what is driving them to lust. Sex addiction is about the search for love and acceptance in the wrong place. What happens is that a man buys into the idea that he can't be loved or accepted as he is (in his heart), so he turns to sex to fill that need.
This means the true beliefs of the heart have to be exposed and then replaced with the truth of God's grace.
I go for the heart, and rely on God to do the healing. If you're interested in getting together or making contact by phone, please email or message me.
