Praise the Lord! Thank you Father for peace in Will's home. I ask that You strengthen him surround him with peace in his life. I speak peace to his life. No more will those annoyances and hindrances cause problems. Peace, peace, shalom, shalom.
Will, are you using your commute time to listen to scripture or something that will uplift and strengthen your walk with our Father?

Yes, have been listening to the whole of David Pawson's 'Unlocking the Bible' series. He has a sermon on each book. Have just finished them all in fact. Was particularly affected by the commentaries on Job, Mark and Hebrews. Really good stuff. And yes they have blessed me and strengthened me. Now I just have to deal with the road rage!

LOL! There is a reason I don't live in a big city. Try praying for the people that cause your road rage. I have to do that when I travel and drive around in a big city...otherwise my flesh takes over.
Have a blessed and peace filled day!

Ha ha, yep totally. Was really convicted yesterday, I thought 'wow, I'm really bad on the roads, constantly trying to 'beat' other drivers'. Have had to repent and just drive slowly, today was better : )
Well an update, things going really well at the moment. The enemy is SO mad! He has spent all day today trying to destabilize me and throw curveballs, annoyances, nuisances, inconveniences etc at me to get me to act out. So far so good. But my instinct tells me that now is about the time (i.e. when I think things are going well and the thought is creeping into my mind 'hey, maybe this is behind me!' when I unexpectedly stumble, end up watching porn and right back at square one again. So please pray for me!
Also have noticed my mind and eyes wandering too much. When I become aware of it I turn away, praise God. But on a couple of occasions my eyes have gone straight to an attractive woman's body, one in the supermarket queue and one who was waiting to cross the street at a busy intersection (it's crazy it's like a lazer! Straight to the wrong place!) before I can pull them away. And have been thinking thoughts about women in like the supermarket or at the gas station or whatever, like imagining who they are and extrapolating some insane fantasy of what they would be like to be in a relationship with. One thing I often think is kind of 'maybe I'm missing an opportunity here to ask this woman out. Maybe she secretly is attracted to me! Ha ha it's pretty nutty. Those kinds of thoughts, although they are rarer now, I need to watch and ask Jesus for help with.

I am praying for you. Since you realize it, get humble before our Lord and focus on Him. Pray, read scripture, worship and tell your mind "No!". You can overcome this "time" by doing these things. You...all of you (mind, body and spirit) belong to the Lord. Rededicate them to Him.

Hey guys, just checking in. Things are going well, I think. Was able to get through last weekend clean. Am a little concerned about this weekend because my housemate has his 30th birthday party on Saturday. We are all Christians so it shouldn't be too crazy! But the enemy likes to throw curveballs and I'm not so good at reacting well to unexpected situations. God bless you all! : )

That all goes well and you are able to handle whatever comes your way. Remember to lean on God...to humble yourself and ask for His help.

I am thankful to the Lord Jesus that He is giving you strength and victory in your struggle against our common besetting sin Will. I am encouraged by your posts. May the Lord continue to strengthen you as you seek to stay pure in your walk with Him.

Just busted : ( Had five weeks up, and more without actual porn. Not enough sleep, not respecting the day of rest enough. Well, get back on the horse...

It's been a long, long time since I ever made it that far. Be encouraged, and get up and go again. May God give you a good plan of action.

Thanks for your encouragement Saved, means a lot. Yeah funny you should say that because lack of planning was a big part of this - got to the end of the week and thought 'hooray, the weekend!' That should have alerted me to the danger. I did not plan my activities on the day of rest (Saturday for me) and instead just ended up languishing with nothing in particular to do. Plus the day before my housemate texted to ask if I could be available for someone to come round and look at a trailer he has in the front yard who might want to buy it. I stupidly said I would before thinking about it. Remembered too late that I know from experience it's a terrible idea to make any commitments on the day of rest. I need the whole day to rest without stress. But now I had to have my phone on, that meant quite a few other texts coming through from other people who wanted answers to things as well = stress not rest. This is how muddy my mind is on Saturday (why I have to plan activities like what to eat, what to read, what to watch and when to sleep!) - I was hungry for hot food but ended up eating like 7 chocolate bars that were in the desk drawer instead. I literally forgot all about the hot dogs that were in the fridge ready to be reheated and eaten. I only bought them the day before! But that's how the enemy tries to cloud judgement and steal away memories of what's important on that day in particular, to build up an illusion or bubble of depression and isolation where the only thing I can think about is lust and it seems like it's the only thing on the planet!
Well, lessons learned: the day of rest is a day of rest!!! And write a plan of what to do on that day (1. check emails 2. eat hotdogs 3. sleep)!!

Good insights! And now, for you, Saturday is already here and you will soon be awake, if I got it right.
Have a blessed day, both of rest and time in the Scriptures and prayer!

Thanks Saved! Saturday went well, praise God. Have been very blessed to remember 'it's not about me, it's about Him: the Lord Jesus' and that takes the pressure off : )
