Sounds like you need to learn to say no so that you have time to spend with God. It is tough to do but we need that time with Him to fill up our tanks so that we can tackle our day.
Look at what you got going on in your life. What isn't necessary? And don't you dare say school! Lol
Love you brother!

Thanks Amy. I guess it is somewhat hard for me to look at my own life and decide what is and isn't necessary, just because I think it is all important. Really, my whole life consists of school, work, and church right now. But I do think you are right, and there must be something I have to cut out of my life to be able to focus more on God. Please keep praying for that area of my own life, and that God gives me some clarity about it.
Life is still pretty busy right now, but things are going well. But I still need to realign my priorities and focus more on my walk with God.
Thank you all!

I will be praying. I don't know your financial situation but one place you might be able to cut back on is the after school job. Or you could try getting up earlier in the morning and spend that time with God.
Love you!

Yes, and when one of those triggers hits us, we can even feel guilty about it. Satan's lie! We must cry out to God to cleanse our minds, and not feel guilt when those things hit us unawares.

Hi guys!
Hey Noah, do you take a full day of rest? One of the really major helps for me is making sure, whatever else is going on, to take a full day's rest each week. Usually for me it's Saturday. Sounds like it might interfere with productivity, but in fact it improves it. Did you know Olympic athletes have days of complete rest, sometimes just before big competitions. God was right, a full day's rest a week actually improves performance. Anyway just a thought, it really works!

Hey guys. Sorry for not coming on here in a while. I've actually been doing well recently. I recently confessed my issues to a Bible Study leader that I have, and it was a huge relief just to talk to someone, and know that they are praying for me.
You guys talked about cutting back on some of the things that make me so busy. And Will mentioned taking a full day of rest every week. I am seriously considering all of what you guys have recommended, but it hard to incorporate when everything seems important. That's not to say I won't try, I'm just letting you know my situation. There are a couple days that I don't have work, so I could try making those my rest days.
I haven't really had any traumatic past experiences that led to my addiction. I don't think that means I don't have an underlying problem that results in my lust, but I just don't know what it would be. So it is hard to pinpoint my triggers. I can get triggered anywhere, by almost anything. I don't even have to look at a specific object or image. Although I have noticed that when I am not occupied by an activity, I tend to get triggered at those times. That may be why I try to keep my life so busy, because I don't like doing nothing.
Anyways, I'll keep thinking about what you guys have talked about. Please keep praying. Thank you all.

Satan uses business to keep us from spending time with God. We need that time to refill our tanks. Running on empty leads to problems. Even if it means getting up a half hour earlier and using that time to pray and read the bible...we need it. Starving our spirit of it's food isn't a good idea. Boy do I need to keep reminding myself of that. I am guilty of neglecting my spiritual needs.

Lord Jesus, please give Noah the strength to live for you. Amen. Noah, a verse I often remember. Seek the Lord while he may be found; call to him while he is near. Let the wicked one abandon his way and the sinful one his thoughts; let him return to the Lord , so he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will freely forgive. Hello all.
I know it's been a very long time, but I really felt God led me to share a little bit of what's going on in my life.
First off, I want y'all to know that my absence from BG was not me giving up on recovery. I left because I felt like God was calling me away to different things. Although I admit that it was unfair to you guys for me to leave without saying anything, and I want to apologize. God is so good! He has blessed me so much and given me a lot of healing. I'd be lying if I said I never stumbled into lust, and the temptation is there almost every day. But the progress that I've made is awesome to see every day! I'm nowhere near perfect, but God has been refining me over the years. This new year has been especially great! I'm spending more time with God every day, and with other believers as well.
I'll be honest with you guys; I'm probably not going to be back on BG. I'll leave my profile active so that I can give updates on my life if God calls me to it. I still think and pray about all of you guys! I want y'all to know that you have made a big impact on me and I love all of you!
Anyways, I hope this post encourages you guys, and whoever has been reading my story! To God be all the Glory! (Hey, that rhymed!)
