Marc get a plan in place for that downtime at work when the mind begins to wander. We sing an old gospel song at church that comes to mind. "Leave no unguarded place, no weakness of the soul." My friend there will always be times of weakness and triggers that must be overcome. It is our job to "fortify the whole" by making sure that there are no weak points in our wall. For me, I carry a pack of 3X5 cards with Scriptures written on them to combat those times of weakness. Like Phillipians 4:8. Good luck to you in this battle strong warrior.

Afternoon everyone. Just dropping a line and checking in. I am on everyday during the weekend, but either due to work or being at a loss as to what I should share for the day, I don't write daily. Yet reading how everyone is trying to help those in need is always inspiring. For the last couple of days I have been struggling and fighting my urges, luckily I have the chance to keep my distracted with work and working out. At home, still the same, no access to the internet or television, so I believe I've almost ready my whole library of books plus more of my bible in these last months than ever. Urge wise I am fine, my concern is what one can do when the it is your biology that works against you. I've been fretting more about dreams and random thoughts tripping me up than anything else. So I am doing well, just trying to adjust and get some sort of equilibrium to myself. Thank you again everyone, you guys be well also.
P.S. Also meant to add that I watched Terry Crews video detailing his addiction. Comforting to know that others are going through it, acknowledging it, and not being demonized by it. Between the support here and knowing that this affects everyone and all parties involved, I wouldn't say it is comforting. It is another way to acknowledge that you are not alone in dealing with an issue that can make you feel so alone.

It's nice to keep hearing from you, Marc. I like the idea that you're doing what you can to make life work for you. Having no access to TV or internet at home can be a very good thing for us PAs. I'm glad that you seem to be reaping the benefits. And you're reading your Bible. That's good. For me, my life started changing bigtime when I made that a habit.

Hey Marc So glad to hear that you're doing well. I tried calling you and I left a message. Sounds like weekends work well for you so give me a call whenever you get a chance. In the meantime keep up the good work you're doing. You're changing the world by it.

Marc I noticed you are worried about dreams and such in your last post. I have mentioned this in other post so I am not sure if you have seen me give this advice before but here it is...pray over yourself and your dreams before you sleep. Ask God to give you purity in your dreams and the strength to say no and turn from them when wrong dreams come to you. He will grant your request. Ask for Him to help you praise and worship Him while you sleep. I just recently added that to my nighttime prayers...talk about powerful! I have been waking up every morning singing praises to our Holy and Mighty God ,our Loving and Merciful Father for the last few days.
Random thoughts need to be trod on like the filth they are when you recognize them. Immediately turn your mind back to God and praise Him. Do not dwell on those random thoughts. Repent and turn your mind back to pursuing God with all your being.

Afternoon everyone. So far doing well. Reading the bible plus everything else in the house along with praying and trying to find my center. I have also been reading a lot of Covenant Eyes postings along with recommended items here. Seems like this week is just one of those hanging in there and just being here and trying to keep on the right path.

Short and sweet. Sometimes that says So much. Marc I am glad that it sounds like you are on the right path and doing the right things. Thanks for checking in with the "family" and sharing about your day. If you need something perhaps we could talk it over? Just let us know how or if we can help.

Was in a rush with work, but Kevin was kind enough to reach out to me. Definitely a much needed boost and mental refresh, so thank you again Kevin. So far I am doing alright, things at home or more in flux so we are again finding a balance. I am finding it easier to deal with stress causing my me to revert to my old ways or for triggers to be an issue. Still working on it, still an issue, but I am noticing a difference, and I have the people here to thank for it.

had a pretty good weekend. Nothing major and had the chance to have a very peaceful time with family. Date night with the wife on Friday and spent time with daughter on Sunday. So all in all, very good.

Hi MarcD:
I was surfin' through the forums, and came across your last post. I'm new here, and we haven't talked yet, but I figured, why not? And since there aren't too many others on the site tonight, well, I just wanted you to know that I read your post, and I'm glad you're doing ok.
You said you hope everyone else is doing well, too. So do I. I can't speak for everyone else, but I'm doing just dandy at present, all glory to God. Anyway, have a nice evening. I'm sure we'll connect again.
