SCF is gone? Through the Flame too? What happened? (I don't know who TTFlame is...)
My hat goes off to Amy... she's been faithful in messaging me when there's been problems and offered to help... Actually, to all of you. Seeing your responses and willingness to help out was a blessing.

I left TTF because they weren't allowing us to talk about how Christ helped us and how He could help others if they just leaned on Him. It doesn't surprise me that they are shutting down. I was never a part of setting captives free.

I was with Through The Flame until it became apparent that talking about God, Jesus, or otherwise giving praise to Christ was not favorable. I left shortly thereafter due to a conflict of interest and came to Blazing Grace at the invite of Amy and some others. Setting Captives Free and I had a falling out with one of the administrators. There program leaves no room for grace and because I disagreed with their process, I was asked to leave. I still think the Bible Scriptures on SCF is wonderful but I am not so sure about the hardcore method to recovery. I will always treasure the things I learned from both sites and will take that and share what is appropriate here on BG. God lead me to both of those sites for a reason and it made me stronger today so thank you Lord.

Jon and Amy, thank you for helping me out.
And thanks Mike for being willing to keep the forums open.
It's nice to be able to get on here an vent 24 7 with people who've known me for a while. I don't always get to get out to CR.

I know I'm conflicted. I've gone back over old posts and been helped esp. from ones like Devastated Wife who is so honest and blunt which is what I think we as women need.
I have responded to old posts and bumped them up hoping to get them to come back, but to no avail.
The site is loading really fast for me now. Of course, I've got a new laptop and it's working awesomely. I read here for five years before I opened an account.

I was actually kicked off one site that I HAD to pay for monthly bc I refused and just stated that as a Christian I wouldn't feel comfy going to KKKLanned Parenthood for STD testing. I know my hubby only did porn and they were the type that they'll never change and I was also told that my religion wasn't welcome there even tho other Christians were.
So, I came here where we don't try to fix each other or give too much advice unless it's asked for. We're here to give grace and mercy and to uphold one another even in our failings as the offended or the offender.
I came out of legalistic churches were rules and being perfect were more important that being honest with God in my thoughts and prayers and being honest with other TRUE Christians about my hubby's addiction. Heck, I didn't even tell my own mother for four years after I found out.

---MOD HAT ON--- I have been going back over some of the postings from the last 8 or 9 years ago. I truly believe that EVERY post is special and precious. However I'm a big believer in "less is more" and think that perhaps some "spring cleaning" might be in order? Please let me know what you think about it. Good? Bad? Also I have taken the liberty to reach out to a few of our members who have not posted in a while asking if they would still like to be members now that the forum site has moved. If anyone knows of a better way to accomplish this huge task please let me also know. For today I'm taking off the hat. --- MOD HAT OFF--- Several months ago, I was working on typing messages to all the members. I think was working backwards alphabetically. So I went from Z's to Y's to X's etc. I think I got to the T's. Perhaps you can start at the A's, B's, C's, etc. and we can meet at the middle somewhere.

I wonder how many women on here give up posting b/c either one, their hubby doesn't quit (or they don't have the courage to do a boundary list) and they just live with it and end up living with PTSD and Trauma for life or two, they get divorced and don't post anymore b/c they've moved on which I understand. I'm just thinking out loud here.
These are just some thoughts as to why I wonder if some post for a while and move on.

I just saw this thread now and as someone who is new to this site, I just wanted to share that I incredibly thankful to have found it and this forum, I believe it's been the exact first steps that God has brought to help me act on all that I have prayed about and read about. And to those of you who have stepped up to help keep it going, thank you!! Praying for God's wisdom moving forward for you all. Blessings!

HS3 I am sure it happens often on both accounts. They only reason I stayed with it after my divorce is because of my past issues with porn and wanting to help others.
CMA, I pray that things work out for you.

The owner of the site, Mike, would like the members input on how we should proceed with the old thread clean up. So I am doing a poll to get your feedback.
