Oh of course I peddled the whole way! And I don't consider first gear a granny gear when I'm peddling at a 3% to 10% grade for much of the way! I gotta tell you - I feel so in shape from yesterday's ride. My next challenge is Independence Pass ... I've penciled in either Wednesday or Friday of next week to do that. -Steve

I don't think a picture of the cornfields and soybean fields I rode past today would even come close to the beauty of CO! Absolutely beeauutiful!

I thought it would be interesting to see and hear what others are up to as far as creativity goes.
I love to crochet, make soaps and lotions
Right now I am working on a blanket for Ellie-girl. It's a crocheted granny square called a Celtic knot. I am not sure if we are allowed to post pictures here or not. I will post a pic later if I can.

I have played piano for 30 and I'm going to teach again in the fall. I also do watercolor and I'm just learning oils.
I would love to learn how to make blankets. My maternal grandmother had a blanket frame that would wind up to her ceiling in her dining room when not in use. She made blankets into her 80s.
When she died, my cousins stole over 20 blankets from her closet before my mom and sister could pick some out for us.
I'm not sure we can post pics b/c we've had people come on here and post bad stuff. I don't know if you have an Instagram that you could share with us in a private email. I don't have Instagram, but I'd like to share my are pics with ya'll so perhaps something like that would work?

My blanket for Ellie is a 3rd of the way done. It's weird that I can't post photos in here but I can in my accountability blog. Should that option be turned off in that area as well?
My sister wants me to make her a hat plus I have Colby's blanket to do also. I am gonna be busy this winter.

What kind of pattern are you using for Ellie?
My mom, sis and my aunt all made my kids binkies when they were born. I still have my baby blanket that my mom made me. I have another she made when I was a child that had southern bells on them.
I'm not much of a seamstress.
I did buy stuff to make a homemade cushion for my piano seat b/c it hurts my bum and cuts into our thighs lol. I'm going to stuff it with egg shell cushions that are meant to made beds softer.
I might have to cancel piano lessons for this year. I just don't think I have the energy to teach other people except my own.

Sorry I didn't see your post until today HS3. www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/celtic-knot-squaresThat is the link for the pattern. I am not doing the boarder around each knot. Instead I am weaving them together to form the blanket and will do a solid boarder around the whole blanket. Wish I could show you the colors I am using. A dark pink, a brown and a light pink.

I am still working on my blanket but I am getting tired of it so I am taking a little break. I have made a couple pair of fingerless gloves for some ladies at church and I am working on a hat for my sister.
Plus I am baking. I made a cake for the young man I adopted at church. His birthday is today and all his family is in TN. That cake generated requests for 2 more cakes from my church family. So I will be baking tonight. I am still trying to figure out a good sugar free frosting recipe...the ones I have tried are terrible!

Wow love the bookshelf and the paving stones....when are you coming over to do those for me? I will pay you in cakes and crochet.
And you just gotta love it when the predrilled holes are in the wrong spot. Try putting together a metal porch swing with that problem...oh vey!
