Running on 3 hours of sleep. Ugh.
Yesterday was busy. Took mom to Omaha for a shot in her eye. She has diabetes and it affects her eyes. That appt usually takes several hours. I got home with enough time to eat and then off to Ladies prayer group. Didn't get home until after 4.
I have completely revamped how mom and I eat. Lots of veggies, a moderate amount of protein and very little carbs. I have finally managed to wean myself off of fruits too. I am noticing a difference in my liver. It is acting up less frequently and not as severely. Mom's diabetes is doing loads better. The draw back is the headaches. My body needs to adjust to getting it's energy from the good fats I am incorporating instead of the carbs.
I am fighting depression today which means more temptations to self-medicate with porn and food. Thank you Lord for being with me today. You are my rock and my shield. I look to You for my help and comfort.

Jeremiah 15
11 The Lord said:
I will certainly set you free and care for you. I will certainly intercede for you in a time of trouble, in your time of distress, with the enemy.
2 Cor 10
3 For though we live in the body, we do not wage war in an unspiritual way,[c] 4 since the weapons of our warfare are not worldly,[d] but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments 5 and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ.
The Holy Spirit led me to these today. The Lord has set us and cares for us. He intercedes for us with the enemy. He has already paid the price and won the war. So when we go into battle we need to remember our Commander has already won and be confident in that knowledge. He has equipped us for not only the battle but for winning! We just need to put on the equipment and stand. He does the rest. Our hearts should be full of joy even during the battle because we know who wins! Christ wins!

It has been awhile since I posted here. God has been moving in me and using me in new ways. I don't feel comfortable sharing here about all that He is doing in my life because of the TOS. However there is one aspect He has been urging me to do that I can share here. He wanted me to start blogging on porn and addictions. Here is my first blog post Choices

Hi Will! Sorry it has been awhile, hasn't it? I have been busy taking care of mom, canning, crocheting and learning about God. Trying to keep up with what is going on in the world and how it relates to biblical prophecy and learning about biblical healing. God has been dealing with me on my grumbling when I reach my limit of being mom's only caretaker. I need more of a servant's heart.
I have been feeling that I would like to try getting off disability and go back to work. Just not sure how I can manage that. I would need something flexible so I can get mom to doc appointments. plus the added stress of working and taking care of mom. Been praying about it.

Hi Amy! Wow that sounds like a great idea! Really believe that work is quite a huge blessing. In so many ways it shows us how capable we actually are, that we can be useful, blesses us to interact with others (many of whom we would probably rather not interact with but it may be good for us to, so the Lord puts us in the same place with them lol!) and helps to get us 'out of ourselves' and into reality more. That's how it was with me. Before I was saved, I was (even more) lazy and tried to avoid work as much as possible. A work ethic was one big thing that came to me with being born again. I knew I had to get out there and just do my best, even though it wasn't very much. Because I wasn't working for me, I was working for Him : ) Stoked, what kind of work do you think you would look for?

I am not sure. My skills aren't revelant any longer...Been out of the accounting field too long. I would have to find something flexible and part-time. I need to be able to still take care of my mom and things here at home. Plus I live in a small town, so winter weather could be an issue. I may look here in town to see if anyone is looking for help and if they would be willing to work around doc appts for mom.
