Siblings always fight like cats and dogs. It's part of growing up. I actually got into physical fights with my brother. Now we are very close. So don't give up hope. They still have a chance.

Being a perfectionist is hard work. I was that way and it paralyzed me from even trying unless I was sure I could do it perfectly. Hopefully she will come to realize that perfection isn't possible. The only way we are made perfect is being in Christ. Sometimes being a perfectionist shows the person's need for control in their lives. When things around them are out of control, they control what they can. It could also be that she has a mental illness. Mental illness can be genetic. Have you had her checked?

Yes we are all a bit of a perfectionist. However if it controls you then it isn't healthy. Trying or striving to be better I don't see as a bad thing as long as you realize that complete perfection isn't possible and allow for the mess that is life.
We are called to control ourselves as Christians in how we think, act, react and our choices. We aren't called to control things or others around us. At least that is how I see it.

Had fun today. Went to Omaha with my family and spent the afternoon shopping at some thrift stores.
I am home tired but relaxed. I have some phone calls to make tomorrow. One to schedule an appointment with a hematologist and the other to find out about getting a water filtration system put in.
I have been getting unexplained bruises, joint pain, and easily fatigued the last month. My GP referred my to a hematologist here in town but that office takes an entire month off in the summer...so my appointment with them isn't until the end of August....also the doctor didn't get very good reviews. I got a recommendation for one in Omaha and that doctor has extremely good reviews.

Amy, I'm so sorry for everything you've been through this year. I've never lost a child, but I know my mom did and she still grieves.
It's too bad they couldn't arrest your hubby b/c he should be in jail. I hope he doesn't work with kids. You're right, I would've been terrified to let him have partial custody. The courts don't give a tinker's darn if dad's looking up porn, they'll let them see the kids anyway.
Are your symptoms new? I knew before my hysterectomy I had iron deficient anemia b/c of female troubles and I would bruise easily. Did they test for anemia?
I had migraines and joint pain for years and I found out I am allergic to gluten or what's called Celiac's Disease. Once I removed wheat from my diet, I felt 80% better. However, I struggled with those migraines for over 25 years and my joint pain was getting worse as I got older. I am 42 now.
Mike said he approved your account Sat. night so everything should be good to go.
I took a couple of days off b/c we had home school testing on Sunday which we did a little late this year and I was just exhausted yesterday.
I had me a Netflix day.
My youngest has a toothache so I've gotta get her in soon to the dentist.
I'll be praying that your doc can't find the problem out.

Yes Omaha is in Nebraska. It's the largest City in the state. Home of the University of Nebraska Medical School. So there are a number of highly rated specialists in Omaha. They generally do teaching on the side and maintain a practice.
My GP did test for anemia...I do tend towards anemia a few times a year. Everything came back normal. That's why they referred me to a hematologist.
I am grain free. Been that way for 6 months. It has helped tremendously with my bowel issues and has helped me in weight loss. Have any good recipes to share for grain free sweets? I am still leaning to cook with coconut flour and nut flours. Boy what a difference they are from traditional flour. I also have cut out sugar and artificial sweeteners. I use natural Stevie (no additives) and Xylitol. I do use honey and coconut sugar on occasion.
I pray you all have a Blessed and joyful day.

We got to Allrecipes.com and look up gluten free food. I'll have to dig some of ours up.
Walmart has a lot of gluten free food just in the last three years since I found out. It's nice to be able to make a quick thing of spaghetti w/o it giving me a huge stomach ache. I had IBS as well.
I also need to cut out the sugar b/c I've been cheating that way. I have lost weight too and I don't even exercise. Even my foggy thinking is better and I can think a lot of clearer.
My husband has a great GF pizza crust and I'll have to ask him about it.
Even though my test came back negative, my doc said with my symptoms, I should be on the diet anyway.
My hubby dropped 100 points off his cholesterol which was up to 300. They wanted to put him on Lipitor which is now being sued.
I still get cluster migraines with weather changed, but it's not near as bad as it was before. I would have at least two bad migraines a week with vomiting.

One thing you have to watch out for in gluten free products is carbohydrate count. Many GF products are made with rice flour and tapioca flour. They aren't bad in small doses but their carb count is extremely high which makes your blood sugar spike...that can cause problems for diabetics and make you crave more...just like sugar. I love GF noodles but I limit the amount and how often I have them. I would love any recipes you have tried and liked. I will do the same for you. Maybe we could start a recipe thread?
