Hi Rev.happi, Welcome. We here understand the term intimacy anorexia all to well. My personal approach is that I keep myself accountable to others and this forum about including my wife into my week. What constitutes a wife point for me may not be a wife point for others. Early this year, I posted my experiences while doing "The Love Dare". It made a difference. What's interesting to me is that I've not done anything real profound. I guess making the conscious effort to include my wife as well as maintaining a sound strategy for avoiding P and MB are important. My wife appreciates the fact that I'm praticing honesty with her even if it hurts. And she sees that I'm taking steps to demonstrate that God and family is important in my life. I hope this gives you some ideas. I would like to encourage you to think of some tangible ways you can change to demonstate a better connection with your wife and share them with us so that we can support you. For instance, if you aren't already doing this, schedule a daily prayer time with your wife. I try to pray with my wife before we go to bed every night. It is said that couples that pray together, stay together. Blessings to you.  |

Lord,
Please help Rev.happi to draw closer to his wife. I pray that you restore what has been lost. May they rekindle the joy that they had when they were first married. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen

When did she find out about your SA?
It has been 8 years since I found my H's SA problem and he didn't quit until we separated in the home. He struggled with PA for 11 years.
Even now, there are times I want to be close and there are times I push him away b/c I'm scared he's going to hurt me again.
BTW Welcome to BG! I will add you to my prayer list.
