Steve, the newsboys is one of the first Christian bands I listened to. They are awesome!

Huge hug for you Steve. I know how you feel. Losing a child at any stage of their life is beyond hard. Remember and take comfort in the FACT that your little ones are with God right now. They know you love them and they are with our Father basking in His love. God knows what you are feeling and experiencing also. He had to turn away from Christ when Christ was on the cross because Jesus took on our sins. Christ became sin to save us. God can have nothing to do with sin.
Romans 8
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Can you imagine the pain God felt when He had to turn away from Christ when on the cross? God knows how you feel. Stay close to Him and let Him comfort you.
