Khrushchev said communism would take over the USA w/o firing a shot. Did you know by the time we built the bomb in '45, the KJB had already infiltrated The Manhattan Project? I was watching a docu and there was a Soviet Double agent for MI6 and the KGB and one time, NATO was doing a BIG military exercise under Reagan and the USSR got spooked and basically aimed ALL their nukes at our major cities. This agent told Britain who in turn told the CIA and they stopped the exercise. I've always told my kids that growing up under the Cold War was a serious thing and that we came almost came to blows with the USSR many times, but I didn't know it was that close. |

I know "Area 51" is close to Los Almamos (hubby had a friend that who was a nuke physicist that made much of the ordinance that fell over the ME) and NORAD.
I'm sure what people saw wasn't alien tech, but R and D by military contractors. I think I'd freak if I saw supersonic flight back in the late 50s to early 60s.
I'd have to research a little more about the Man. Project.
I've seen several docus about the men who made the two trips on the Enola Gay to drop the two ABs on Japan. I read the film they were supposed to watch before they dropped it was ruined on the way over to the carrier so when they saw what it did, they were shocked. I personally believe we SAVED millions of lives by dropping the bombs. The Japs were even training their women and children to fight and it would've been horrible if we had to land on Japan and fight. This put a clear end to it all.

Unfortunately the Japanese did not surrender and things happen, they bear full responsibility for what happened knowing that bombing would eventually occur. Hitler was the same - sacrificed German Cities - Dresden Fire Storm. That Axis style leadership is never concerned about the lives of everyday people. The Japanese (Older Japanese today) were so cruel as army officers. Look at the attrocities that they committed. They were so barbaric and pariticularly cruel to Australian Soldiers caught at Singapore. There is a movie call the RAILWAY MAN which documents the cruelties but is also about forgiveness and friendship would you believe?
I don't know much about Area 51, so what you've said is interesting.
