Yes, Sam. You can get and be set free by Jesus. There is no sin that Jesus can not forgive you. No bondage that Jesus can not set you free.No chain that Jesus can not unshackle. He is Your only Way. Why? Jesus paid our sins in full.Christ defeated sin, death and the enemy. He is our victory! When Satan tempts you, lift up this simple prayer, "Lord, I cannot handle this situation on my own. I submit my concerns to You. Help me release my negative desires and trust You completely. Amen." Sis, please do not give up. Make a firm decision to stay in the path of our Lord. Satan likes nothing more than to distract believers from seeking God. One of his most common and successful tactics is to entangle believers' minds with negative thoughts. If our minds are divided with problems like addiction, we'll be unable to put God first. Do not be tricked by Satan's schemes. Instead, trust in the One who can provide total peace.
No matter how difficult our circumstances seem, no matter how tempting it is to sit around wondering how to solve our own problems, the Bible tells us we're not to take these burdens upon ourselves. Worry, anxiety, fear, and depression are not of God, and He can provide deliverance from these paralyzing conditions. Take the words of 1 Peter 5:7 to heart: "Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." God loves you infinitely and perfectly. He never intended for you to walk through valleys of fear, insecurity, and uncertainty alone. He's the Great Shepherd waiting to guide you and direct your path (Proverbs 3:6). Praying for you,Amor

Hi Sam,
I can only imagine that the Enemy is attacking, because you were on my heart, and when I arrived, Amor was already praying for you.
So I add my prayers to hers.

my goodness amor and truthseeker, your messages are in perfect time with my needs. demonstrating god's love and mercy to me yet again. i have been entangled with this spiritual battle for sexual purity for so long now and the path has taken me by surprise with many twists and turns... always deeper, always more dangerous, always further than i ever intended to go. i feel like i am on a run away train and the brakes are gone. if i said that my heart has changed enough to walk away from it, i would be lying. the truth is, i like sexual sin. i do. if i didn't, i would have stopped by now. i am confused as to how i can like something so much and hate it at the same time. it is the strangest feeling in the world. i can honestly say that i do want to not like it, i do want to stop sinning, but in the moment, i have such a hard time mustering the strength anymore. sorry to be a downer, i am not really trying to be. it comforts me to have your prayers. thank you so much.

Hi Sam,
What concrete measures of accountability can you set in place to affect your computer use and/or use of time? (You don't need to answer this here, but please pray about it, and perhaps speak with your husband about it as well.) I am also praying for women friends to come in to your life, and/or grow closer so they can provide encouragement and accountability.

Hello, Sam.
You're a fun-loving person. Think of your decision this way. God won't let us enjoy sin. Sin won't let us enjoy God. The only way to find enjoyment is to choose one or the other and go for it. Sin we can enjoy only for a time. God we can enjoy for ever.
"In thy presence there is fullness of joy, in thy right hand are pleasures for evermore" (Psalm 16:11).
"They feast on the abundance of thy house, and thou givest them drink from the river of thy delights" (Psalm 36:8).

Sam, remember David's Psalm 23 - plenty in there to keep you on the straight and narrow. I like verse 5 about the over-flowing cup and sitting at God's table "in the presence of my enemies". Obviously the enemies are in a state of torment.

thanks guys, you are so right. ah, if only sexual sin was not so appealing. if it were not fashioned in a way as to entrap us, then it would be easy to avoid and not allure us with the false promise of satisfaction. the truth is that there is no satisfaction in it. it demands more and more from us when we give in a little. the end is always the same, you are further away from god's plan for you and you feel like the scum of the earth for having desires that are wrong.
i must admit that my acheivement of a month's sobriety seems so far out of reach at the moment. it is very sad to me that i am now where i was so long ago. that i have fallen so far and have lost so much ground that it is overwhelming to me. i have to trust that if i really desire closeness with the father and i make that my priority, then i can stand firm in my commitment. i feel like i did when i learned to roller stake, i have fallen so many times and am sore all over. scared to try to stand up again, but i know it is the only thing i can do. i have to stand up, legs wobbly and just pray that i don't hurt myself really badly if i fall again.

well, i am hanging in there at the moment. i have not sex chatted since i deleted my last account, but the old pull is still there. not sure if i will reach a day that it is not. oh well, i guess that i can't really focus on that, i just have to keep my eyes on the prize. the day that the desire is lessened enough to not be so hard anymore. meanwhile, i will just try to focus on jesus and his love for me.

You're right sis! Focus on JESUS!
Keep your mind, your heart and your whole being aligned and connected to our God.
Drown yourself with His love. He is our greatest lover. His love is the best antidote to our longing heart, to our emptiness and to our loneliness.
DO NOT ALLOW THE ENEMY TO DECEIVE YOU. He wants you to think that what he is offering is better than what our GOD can give.
Oh sis, His love is far greater than any love this world can offer!
You see while I am writing this email to you, I am crying. I can not help but cry. I love you with the love of the Lord. I do not want you to waste your life on something that is of no eternal value.
The enemy wants our life to be wasted so we will not be fruitful and will not successfully live for our LORD.
I pray please be strong. You can do it. Our God is great. He is sovereign Lord, the Majesty. The Lord God of every detail of our lives. He is enthroned above everyhting. He alone on the throne over all things, over everything! Our Great God and King over all other gods who try to pose as the one and only. Nothing triumphs His place of majesty and power in this whole vast of universe.
Please let me close with this quotes:
What's so nice about God.....the more you think of HIM, the closer He stays beside you. If you forget HIM, He follows behind you and if you fall, HE will carry you.
Sis, life ain't easy.....
When everything goes wrong PUSH
When you wish for something PUSH
When people don't understand you PUSH
When you wish for love PUSH
P ray
U ntil
S omething
H appens
Because God said .....
"I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Sis, rest in the arms of our Lord and Saviour Jesus!
In CHRIST love,
Amor

oh my goodness armor, i don't think i can ever thank you enough. the response you posted here gave my heart such joy to read. your words and encouragement sparked a desire in me to do as you requested, to stand strong and persevere. i must admit that it moved me to tears as well. thank you very much!
no chatting, phone sex, or any other "acting out", well, except for masturbation. i am still not focusing on that nasty habit right this minute, but once i reach a point where the other stuff doesn't tempt me quite so much, then i will tackle that as well. just basically hanging in there at the moment, but am determined to "win the race".

this is my 20th day without chatting. feeling pretty good and strong. i was alone much of the day today and never felt the old pull to drag me back down that road. too afraid to get my hopes up, but am content to bask in the victory that i am experiencing.
